The Motorola DEXT is an amazing touchscreen slider from Motorola which is sure to get you into a frenzy. The phone is armed with the Google Android OS, which should make it a real treat to watch out for. Moreover, the fact that it is combined with the MOTOBLUR user interface makes the phone really versatile. The user interface enables you to get a lot of widgets on to your homescreen. The widgets can be customized according to the functions that you want easy access to. These functions include RSS feeds, photos, emails, contacts and messages. Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter can also be easily accessed via these widgets. You can also update your status on these apps with a single click.

The phone has a absolutely superb touchscreen on which watching videos as well as surfing the internet are really enjoyable. The phone has a super crisp resolution of 320×240 pixels and is about 3.1 inches long. The phone can be slid sideways to reveal the full QWERTY keyboard.

The phone has a 5 megapixel camera which can shoot good – quality pictures. This is helped by the auto – focus feature on the camera. The geo – tagging feature is also present on the camera.

The phone has a decent set of looks and is not too slim, nor too thick at 15.6 mm. However, the phone is quite heavy at 163 grams and you might feel it a bit uncomfortable to carry around if you are used to wearing tight jeans. The phone has a microUSB v2.0 port to enable you to connect to the computer to transfer data at high speeds. The phone has a 3.5 mm headset jack to complement the music player. The presence of this headset jack means that you don’t have to be stuck with the proprietary headset but can use your favourite headset to listen to songs.

Motorola DEXT Reviews have been excellent. The Motorola DEXT will be available on Orange UK in October, so keep the cash ready!

At the start of 2009 Google made public their belief that the third and fourth quarters were likely to see the unveiling of more Android mobile phones, and it seems they hit the nail squarely on the head.

On September 10th and September 15th Motorola unveiled its new Android phone models in the US and the UK, respectively.

Rumour mills on the internet have long been abuzz with talk speculating that Motorola was planning the release, although the fact they took so long about it compared to various other companies saw these rumours eventually die down.

The past few years Motorola has struggled tremendously, as it has been greatly unable to compete with other companies, predominantly Apple and Nokia, and on the new Android models rest their hopes for finally getting back into the game.

Pictures have been floating around online recently of the Motorola “Shules”, which is rumoured to have a release date set sometime in October this year. It will boast a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen in a flip design, causing it to resemble a PDA – iPhone hybrid until opened up.

The fact it has now been confirmed begs the question of which other models we can expect to see before the year is out, and although speculation abounds the next Android mobile to come from Motorola will be the “Morrison”, any details are yet to be confirmed.

The true boost to Motorola’s reputation, and thus their sales, will come if the widely accepted as fact rumours are confirmed; that the Shules and Morrison will both be available of plans well below $100 per month.

With their buttoned keyboards and navigation keys alongside the option of using the touch screen they have the potential to pick up any disillusioned iPhone users in search of greater versatility.

Pictures can be found at TechradarWhich.co.uk.
